The 2002 Dulles Chapter Membership Directory will be mailed out in mid-July.
Kathleen made a suggestion to the Board that the directory be put online. The decision was tabled until the next meeting pending additional information from Kathleen.

Cindy reported that the Chapter Discussion Group held on July 9th “Employee Handbooks” facilitated by Misti Mukherjee, Attorney, Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, P.C. was well attended.
Amy briefed the board on the feedback, comments and future HR topics of interest obtained from the June meeting form evaluations.

Old Business:
In preparation for the December 7th PHR/SPHR certification exam, the Chapter will sponsor a fall study group using the SHRM Learning System. Study sessions will be facilitated by Eileen Taylor, SPHR, Vice President, Ettinger Consulting. Classes will be held 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays from September 12th to November 21st. Registration will be held until August 1st. The location is still TBD. Karen Uhlir is the point of contact for additional information and registration.
The Cost of the study group is:
Dulles SHRM Members: $600*
National SHRM Members: $625*
Non-SHRM Members: $650*
*Add $100 to each cost item for the purchase of a CD to use in addition to the textbook
New Business:
Cornelia Gamlem volunteered to chair the 2003 Dulles SHRM Board nominating committee. Anyone interested in serving on the Dulles SHRM Board of Directors is asked to contact Cornelia at gamlem@erols.com. Information will also be included on the Meeting Evaluation form.
The newly formed HR Career Development SIG will hold a kick off meeting on July 24th at 7:30 a.m. at the Tysons Silver Diner. The contact is co-chair Bernadette Gebhardt, Human Resources Manager at Martin’s Herend Imports, Inc.
