The September Board meeting minutes were approved.
Treasurer's Report:
The Treasury Balance is $13,754.80. The balance does not include payment for invoices received today for postage, certification materials, and payment for the LCD projector.
Nathalie is still reconciling the treasury accounts and will provide new Treasurer’s Reports for July, August, and September at the next board meeting. She is also trying to resolve a billing discrepancy with the hotel for $252.
Nathalie has received payment for 6 of the 20 no show invoices.

Programs:
Cindy Loison briefed the board on the status of speakers for the 2003 program. She also provided an update on the Chapter Discussion Groups.

Sixteen paid attendees are attending the Certification Course. The study group balance less Eileen’s fee is $3,009.30.

Old Business:
Self-nominations for the Dulles SHRM 2003 Board of Directors will be accepted until October 11, 2002. The Nominating Committee, staffed by Cornelia Gamlem, Nancy Streeter, and Judy Perrault, will select ballot finalists. The slate of Officers will be presented at the November board meeting. The 2003 Board will be announced at the dinner meeting on November 20, 2002. The new board members will be inducted at the Holiday meeting on December 4, 2002.
The 2003 Virginia State Conference will be held at the Fairview Park Marriott on October 15-17, 2003. The Dulles Chapter’s representative on the steering committee is Cornelia Gamlem who will be overseeing registration and hospitality. Cornelia needs volunteers to chair and co-chair these functions as well as numerous volunteers from our chapter to help out during the conference. Anyone who is interested in volunteering should contact Cornelia at gamlem@erols.com.
The checklist of criteria for potential new hotel and meeting locations has been developed. Decisions and recommendations will be made at the November board meeting.
New Business:
Applications for the second annual 2002-2003 Dulles SHRM Scholarship Program are due on Friday, November 1, 2002. The winners will be announced at the December holiday meeting. For more information, contact Karen McDonald at 703-502-3760 or by email at hratpohanka@aol.com.
