Last Chance to sign up for Study Group!

If you are interested in becoming certified by taking you PHR or SHPR exam a study group is a great, cost effective way to prepare. Dulles SHRM will again be hosting a study group this fall just in time to get you prepped and ready for the December PHR/SPHR exam!

Eileen Taylor will be teaching the class which will begin meeting on Monday, September 24 and will run through November 26, with options for a review session closer to the exam date. The study group will meet at Teleglobe in Reston (11480 Commerce Park Drive).

The cost is $200 for a Dulles Chapter member, $250 for a member of another chapter/ National SHRM member and $300 for all others.

Please Note: This is a change - one week earlier - than the previous cutoff date.

Please remember that you also need to register with the HRCI to take the exam. The deadline for the December exam is September 21, 2001. Visit the website at http://www.hrci.org for full information.

Dulles SHRM Discussion Groups

A few good facilitators needed!

Our chapter discussion groups have been a powerful source of information and best practices sharing for the members of our organization. After a well-deserved break during the month of August, they will be back in full swing beginning in September.

Join the group on Thursday, September 13 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Lafarge Corporation, 12950 Worldgate Drive, Suite 600, Herndon, VA 20170. The subject is "Expatriation/Immigration" with facilitator Bob Shepherd, Lafarge's Manager of Compensation and Benefits.

A co-facilitator would be most welcome if there is anyone else with a strong interest in expatriation/immigration who would like to join Bob. Contact Cindy Loison if you would enjoy helping to facilitate AND if you will be joining us on the 13th.

The 2001 Mid-Atlantic Employer Conference
